THE ROLE 

Collective Media is hiring a freelance Marketing Specialist! This is a part-time position (with the opportunity to become full time) based in Los Angeles, offering a chance to flex your experience in social media, digital marketing, brand strategy, design, product development and collaboration skills with our roster of female-first clients and brand partners. 

We’re currently looking for someone to join our team to help support our Founder and Creative Director with client-facing projects and overall Collective Media business initiatives. The right person for this role is a creative, confident, problem-solving hustler with an impeccable eye for detail (like grammar!) and a passion for the ever-changing digital landscape. You must be well-organized, forward thinking, and a hard worker with a creative edge. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years working in an agency (or related experience ex. consulting, talent management, social media, PR, etc.) with social and administrative experience preferred. 

  • Exceptional communication, organizational, project management and writing skills in a professional setting.

  • Digitally savvy and desire to be part of a fast-paced, boutique company.

  • Thorough understanding of the influencer and social marketing landscapes, from the brand and creator perspectives

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Passion for staying ahead of trends in social media, technology, and the ever-changing digital landscape.

  • Design proficiency (Photoshop, Canva, Keynote) is huge plus -- but not required. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Grow into a key team role in supporting the management team and high-profile client accounts. 

  • Work directly with CEO + Senior Creative Director on projects requiring research and fresh ideas for content and brand strategy. 

  • Assist with planning, copywriting and execution of social, editorial and marketing projects. 

  • Lead outreach to new potential brand partners through creative content and campaign ideation. 

  • Create and maintain marketing materials including pitch decks and client media kits. 

  • Manage social media optimizations, strategy and presence for key clients and the Collective Media team.

  • Research relevant events, networking opportunities and potential collaboration partners to grow the Collective Media business locally and nationally.
